Week 3- O'Neill

  The Topeka Capital Journal is arguably the leading newspaper in the Topeka area and covers a wide range of news not only in Topeka but on a State, National and International basis. The CJ reports on sports teams from a high school level up to professional standard, reports on any political news affecting the area and many local stories and features relevant to the Kansas and Topeka area. I would benefit greatly from an opportunity to work at the Topeka Capital Journal as it provides a great chance for me to learn the craft of journalistic writing and make a contribution to the local community that I currently live in. It would also give me experience working for a journalistic company outside of my home country of the United Kingdom and would give me some insight in to how the rules and particularly the media laws and ethics vary.
