I ran a search for media companies in the Topeka area and got
zero results. I’m sure we have some, but I wanted to blog about a company that’s
easy to find online. After all a media
based company that can’t be found online quickly is doing something
wrong. The next obvious place to look is Kansas City. I found a few websites,
but two jumped out at me.
The first website is for a company named VML. Their website is bright, exciting and well
organized. With each click of the mouse I found another link I wanted to
explore. The company is global with offices in places like New York, London and
Milan, yet its global headquarters is in Kansas City. VML does everything from research
and planning to activation and management. They basically sell your brand.
The second website was for a company named Evans Media Group. The main page was very
hard to look at. There are very few colors and the ones they have seemed faded or
washed out. I was immediately turned off by the lack luster appearance. The two
companies offer similar branding services for their clients but VML is
impressive while Evans is not.
It’s interesting to see what is available in our area for a
career. I didn’t realize there were this many options.
