Professor profile

Hello class,

I’m excited to be your professor for Media Bootcamp this semester.
A little bit about me:
I am currently an Associate Professor in Journalism and New Media at the Mass Media department. I teach media writing, layout and design as well as advanced media theory courses. I received my doctoral degree in mass communications and media arts from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2005, but I started my undergraduate liberal arts education in Bulgaria in 1993. In fact, I was born and raised during the time Bulgaria was a faithful Soviet satellite and I remember the events around the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 vividly. In my spare time I like to travel, cook, or watch good movies.
