Hey Everyone,
My name is Mike Crayton and I am looking forward to being in Mass Media Boot Camp with all of you this semester.
I am originally from a small town south of Pittsburgh, PA, but due to be my nine-year stint in the US Army, I ended up in Kansas. I was also stationed in Hawaii and did three tours in Iraq.
I am a proud father of a perpetually happy and energetic five year old daughter. I also own a cat who is generally crazy and chases invisible things around the at all hours of the night and a massive German Shepherd who gets scared by the cat at every opportunity (it’s quite sad actually), but he’s an old and soft hearted dog , so I guess he gets a pass on that.
I am purveyor of all things dorky and geeky; from comic books and video games to books and toys…if it’s remotely nerdy, I probably love it.
I am currently a junior at Washburn and I am majoring in Mass Media with an emphasis on Contemporary Journalism. When all is said and done with my schooling, I would like to land a job covering the video game industry. My true dream, though, is writing my very own comic book.
